I assume that you are talking about your insurance rates being based on your credit. Oklahoma doe's that and when they first started I thought it was a bad idea, but after talking to several insurance people, I changed my mind.

Insurance companies base their rates on level of risk just like banks. If you are dealing with someone that's reckless with their bills? Chances are, they will be reckless with their vehicle also.

Absolutely not. A person's credit score does not, repeat DOES NOT equate their character. Our society is so pumped up on credit card debt, people are almost forced into using credit cards to exist. The poorer people wind up using credit to feed and clothe their families. Credit card companies give out credit cards to people very recklessly, they don't consider if they are mature enough or have income enough to afford the credit card. If they did, they wouldn't be the all powerful corporations they are today. People pay their bills to the best of their abilities and the wealth and power of the credit card companies are proof of that.

Circumstances in life can cause any number of reasons a person can't pay their bills on time. This doesn't mean they are out driving recklessly and should be given higher payments on their insurance. That's not helping them, that's victimizing the poor who greatly out number the rich in this world and therefore are the easiest for the rich to make money off of!!

The government does it with taxes, credit companies do it with interest rates. Now insurance companies want yet another way of bulking the poor. Rich people don't pay high interest rates or premiums. And it's not because they aren't careless or reckless, it's because they are smart enough to have better representation. The poor get buttf--ked in this country, always have and always will so the rich can keep getting richer. Now they want to make ways for more people to become poorer so that minority of rich and get richer. It's disgusting!!
