It was like the same thing with me I am 12 and I wouldn't talk to my mom. When I started my period I wrote her a note and put it under her pillow saying "It Started" I guess she knew what I meant because the next day we went out to eat and there were pads on my bed. Just write your mom a little note saying what u need to say. wait a little while on talking about sex u r probably not ready to do that sort of stuff.

Okay im like 14 and i havent started my period yet. Which means im real real slow for my age. And i started wearing bras when i was 12 so you dont have nothing to worry about. Hope this makes you feel you better. Oh and about the sex thing wait till a later time your only 11 almost 12 you dont need to worry about that kinda of stuff yet. Your too young.

Hey, I know how you feel. (And I'm not just saying that.) I felt like I couldn't take to my mom about stuff like that either. And you are lucky to have a sister, just in case you change your mind. I didn't have a sister and I felt like I was missing out on alot!
You can email if and whenever you want:
thebrasscupcake5657@yahoo.com
I also would suggest this website:

You will get your period when your time is right. I got mine when I was around you age. It will come . . . I guess you will just have to wait and see, okay?

She's your mom. If you want to talk to her, talk. Parents want their kids to feel that they can talk to them about anything, especially your mom. Sometimes, I get a little embarrased too. I got my period when I was 11, and I kept it from her for almost a year. She found out one day, but I never told her about keeping it from her. I still feel a little embarrased sometimes, but everyone has to go through the same changes.
Another thing...don't try to rush into things. Once you get it, you'd wish you hadn't. Enjoy not having it while you can.
Remember, parents love to talk to their kids, and they might feel frustrated that you feel you can't talk to them about personal things like that.

Your mom probably feels as akward as you do talking about that stuff. But the talking isn't what the problem is. You just need to brake the ice with her about subjects like that. Don't throw it all at her at once tho. And as far as your sister goes, sisters can be great! A little annoying at times, yes, but my best friend is my sister.

I'm 14 and I started to get my bra last year. Which means I'm slow for my age. You however is in the right stage. I can't talk to my mum either so i learnt by myself. I haven't gotten my period so I'm still waiting. I know we can't wait to get it so we don't get left out but it'll happen in time just have to put our minds to it. So I'm wishing both of us some luck. Talk to me if you like. You have Yahoo I'M? or MSN?

Trust me, I was the same age as you and wanted to get my period, too, now that I have it I wish I could go back......I just say enjoy things as they are right now, and all will come in time........I'm 18 and you can talk to me if you like. I totally relate to all that.....right now I'm just as skinny as I can be and I wish I had womanly curves, and I get told all the time that it will come soon, so I just kinda accepted it and just waiting for it now....my email is tinkerbell0588@yahoo.com, send me sumthin any time you like.:)

honestly you really should talk to your mom...she would probably be crushed if she knew that you didnt feel like you could talk to her. maybe shes just not sure how to start the conversations with you about stuff like that, so she is waiting for you to ask her about them. If i were you, id give that a shot and see what she has to say. good luck!

Kuddles, don't rush things. Life is full of surprises and wonderful interesting things. Maybe I can suggest ways to approach your mom or sister so it won't be so awkward. If you need someone to talk to you can email me anytime.
