why is that when a guy gives a girl chocolate and flowers it makes them happy? If they are fighting or somthing, the guy usualy gives them that stuff and then everythings ok

I would assume that women appreciate gifts like flowers and chocolate due to that fact that they are token that illustrate how much we care for them.

Supposedly, it lets the girl know that the guy cares, that he is willing to go out of his way and buy things just to make her happy. Of course, this is a stereotype, and won't always work.

chocolate is an afrodisiac so it gets them horny, and flowers are pretty and a nice gesture.

they don't, it's stupid because just cuz' they look romantic and sweet doesn't mean they are, dinners, long walks on the beach are romantic!sigh...
