I use pickles or relish whichever I have on hand, onions, mustard, mayonaise(for my daughter) & jalapeno peppers(for me). I don't think of this as a condiment but I also use cheese. Sounds good~can I come over?

The sloppy joes serve in the schools use Chicken gumbo soup (campbells) in their recipe along with the ketchup, mustard, tomato sauce, onion, and worchestersire sauce. Do not add water.

If you're asking what spices to use when making them- I put chili powder, onion powder (or onion salt), sometimes I use onions, green pepper, salt and pepper. I just go by what tastes good to me! As for what to top the sloppy joe with, I like a slice of cheese on top, either cheddar or mozzerella. (Depends on what I have at hand!)

I made them last night. Of all 3 kids - only one wanted mayo and that was for her fries. Good soft fresh buns are a big plus.
