Unfortunately, "D's" are still considered passing as far as 'grades go - but many states have implemented "Gateway" or other exit exams for high school students and many of these slackers have found that though they 'made the grade', they failed the "Exit" exam which means - they don't get to graduate and receive that piece of paper! I teach middle and high school students and received my certification in Michigan - it was hard then - and many other states tend to follow Michigan's lead for their educational excellence - so I would venture to say that there are some heavy consequences for students who don't do well in high school and then expect to graduate. Even for teachers - it is more strict. Now, we have to be 'Highly" qualified according to the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND LAW signed into affect by our illustrious President. Nobody is left behind - education is too important - all you have to do is look at the Japanese and other communities whose students do so much better than our own here in the states! I heard not long ago that some Polish students were given a STATE TEACHERS EXAM and passed it with higher scores than the TEACHERS. What does THAT tell you?

To graduate High school all you have to do is pass the classes....
Which means earn all credits.
But getting strait D's means no college will accept you.
But if you clean up your act....go to a community college for a year....
do good, then you can go to any University you want.

You probably would pass but it would not help you much in life as we can all see by your wonderful spelling abilities...
Have you ever seen the button right above the box...it says "Check Spelling". Try it next time!
