Hey guys, I think there is something going on with my girl of 8 years and this other guy. Lately they've been texting back and forth, all because he's helping her get on the police department, but yet she deletes his text messages and calls and I've been suspicious. She and him both say there is NOTHING there. Yet today she got home late from school at 2 instead of 12.

Today I called her and asked her, "want me to come over?" and she said, "no, i have to go somewhere, i'll come over there." and i said, are you bringing him the application and she said, "yes i am dropping it off to him downtown." and i said, "come pick up so i can go with you," and she said "no thats ok."

Anyway, this has been going on for days, and there's some mistrust. What does this sound like? And should I just end it and move on????

(even though she doesn't wanna break up with me, no matter how i try to say it)

I can't eat, sleep, and stop thinking about it. I pace the floors and worry, a million questions through my head, I just don't know what to do.

She wants to screw around with him and keep you in case it doesn't work out. If she had nothing to hide, she wouldn't hide it.

It's all about TIME.

Is she spending more time with you, less time with you or about the same as 6 months ago?
WHEN will she know whether she has been hired by the police department?

Here's one possible explanation:
- The guy who is helping her wants to get serious with her
- She does not want to get serious with him, but still wants his assistance in getting the job (so she can't just dismiss him)
- She still wants YOU

You guys are not married, so here's what you do:
Wait until she has the job with the police department OR is turned down for the job.
You have trusted her for 8 years, what's a few more months going to do?

GIVE HER THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT - Be patient and assure her that you are there for her. Why dump a good person only out of your suspicion? It may be hard to be patient, but it has never caused a fatality yet.

It really can't hurt to come forth and say what you observe in her behavior and that, regardless of what she says, the said behavior stresses you out.

Sitting down and talking about it (in a non-accusatory way if at all possible) will probably give you better idea of whether or not your concern is justified.

me again.... wow... that worried huh?? sounds like you really care about her.. go with your gut. okay? if shes getting you that worried you need to do what you can to calm your nerves. not bieng able to eat or sleep and bieng worried sick is no way to live, i would leave her go man, im so sorry. if she really loved you then she wouldnt put you through this. she would just let you read the texts and she would call or be on time and say yes to the you riding with thing. again, i am so sorry to tell you that. but do what you have to. good luck

Sounds like she receiving the "night stick" by someone else now. lol

In order to win her back you are going to have to admit to her that you love to sniff her sexy feet after she's been in her shoes all day, and tell her you sleep with a pair of her worn socks under your pillow at night. She will melt for sure and you will win her over again. Promise!

It does sound suspicious. I would set her down and tell her that you are very uncomfortable with the situation. If she respects you and your relationship, then she should respect your request that she involve you in her conversations with him or at least show you the messages and take you along when she can.

Start with the talk, sometimes our imagination is worse than the truth.

Its really this simple hun.

If she is deleting her txts with him there is something wrong on. NO one hides things when its okay they only hide things when IT IS NOT OKAY.

Dump her *** she is using you for whatever you have or maybe using him to get into the academy.... so either way she is no good. Leave her find ur self a girl who will love you with all of her heart not just her u know what.

I understand your distrust, sounds suspicious really, but ending it over something you aren't even sure of yet makes no sense. Wait and ask her point blank, and if she says no, then don't say anymore about it, and do your own investigating to be sure. Good luck.

Have you told her how you feel? (excluded, concerned, anxious, etc.) Have you been completely honest with her? have you asked her how she feels about your relationship?
8 years is a long time - I wouldn't give that away without clear communications and a really good fight.
