I fell in love with a boy six years older than me. Love. He doesn't know that I walk the face of the earth. In fact, he lives on another continent. I'm still so young, and there is no feasibility whatsoever he may even glance at me even if I walked right through him. I love everything about him, I can't describe it. And yet I know if it bizarrely worked out, I would still be hesitant. I would want it to last forever, and I would think that if I were with him once he might not take it seriously. Even if my love turned out to be requited, I still feel that it wouldn't be enough. I would hang on to every second, and be broken without him. He comes into my head all the time, and as hard as I may try, I just can't get over him. I try telling myself that it's just a major crush that will fade away, or another special somebody will come along. Somehow my heart still seems to tell me that I'm wrong. I've thought a lot about it, and I've decided it's better to forget him. HOW???

Sorry, I don't think I made myself completely clear. I have never loved a boy before (other than family). I've been struggling with this for more than a couple months now. My life is already consumed by other things, but he still manages to get into my head. I lose sleep over him.

Let me repeat- he has never seen me. I'm willing to bet my life on it. I don't give away my heart that easily, so just going out with other huys isn't going to fix it.

Also, it doesn't help that he's a heartthrob and every girl has a crush on him. Even if I did choose to pursue this relationship, I couldn't. I'm underage, and finding a plane ticket and the time wouldn't be too easy considering the cirsumstances.

My dear you are young and this is part of growing up. These are feelings that are so wonderful to feel and look back at. I know that right now it doesn't seem like it. I know that your heart aches and you feel so confused but, it will get better. You sound like a very smart girl. You have already decided that its better to forget him. You are right. Keep the memory in your heart. Your time will come when you start dating and meeting new friends. It is wonderful to love and there are all kinds of love. I bet your mom went through the same thing. Ask her. For now go to school and have lots of friends and prepare for the future. One day your own daughter might ask for advise about her first love.

Start concentrating on YOU.
He's gone, and you need closure.
The best way is to throw yourself into something that will consume a large part of your time and take up a large chunk of your mind mentally.
I know it's hard, we've all been there. Ultimately, time heals all wounds, even though it doesn't seem like it at the moment.
Just be patient with yourself and find things to do that you enjoy.
You will be a stronger more self reliant person after all this.

You are not in love, you are infatuated. You have to know someone to love them. After you got to know him and who he really is and what he is all about, you might not even like him any more. This will pass, but in the mean time, keep yourself busy and hang out with your friends. It is all a part of growing up, sweetie, and it's not always easy either. Good luck.

Seriously, you need a mind occupying activity. Sports activities are the best. Go to the gym and look at all the guys there; it's a great place to meet someone else you'd have something in common with and get over a guy.

I felt that way about a guy once. I didn't want ANYONE else but he barley knew me. Then at my job this guy started talking to me, I started to like him and found out he really liked me. I've been going out with him for about 2 months now and I don't like that guy even the slightest bit now. I never think about him. The only thing that can get you to forget about a guy is another guy. Good luck!

Find another guy to chill with, hang out with friends, stay busy. If you work put in a few extra hours to keep your mind off of things.

Pray about it andI think personally you should give it a chance or you'll find your self wondering what could have happen and why you didnt try to see what happen, and if he dosent want anything he wasnt the one for you.

Trying dating other people and just having fun doing whatever you want just to get your mind off of him. And give it a little time. Don't look for anything serious...just something light and fun.
