rather than buy a phone in Spain with Spanish instructions I would prefer to buy a phone in UK and taker it to Spain. I am aware that there it is possible to buy a converter to connect UK plug to Spanish plug.

It works fine. We have a phone from Dixons plugged into our place in Spain and it works fine.

My parents' friends have the UK phone in Spain. So should be ok!

I am not 100% sure, but my UK landline phone can be used in USA and Hong Kong. I think it can be.

im sure it will but if you have a mobile the netwirk will change to a spainish line
