Could i still be in danger of bad side effects if i quit Klonopin cold turkey 3days ago and didn't encounter any yet? I'm mainly concerned about seizures, but don't see what good can come out of starting to take more again if I have already been off it completely for as long as i have. If i should start to take more, how much??? Thx for your advise and have a great weekend!!!

No, and in order to avoid temptation you should send your remaining supply to me - along with lots of booze.

Seriously, though - ask your doctor, or at least consult a pharmacist, since they know more about these things than most of the folks on this site. In the meantime, check out official product information at

If you were on a very high dose for a long time, I would be concerned about it and say you should be weaning off. But if you were on a low dose and are not experiencing any side effects after 3 days, you should be fine. Either way, the best idea is to ask your doctor and/or pharmacist, just to be on the safe side.

I don't know how much you were on but it is incredibly dangerous to quit any of these kind of meds cold turkey. You put yourself at risk for seizures. You can suffer other unpleasant side effects as well. You should check with your doctor (even if you may not want them knowing you quit the medication) and ask them how to wean yourself off of the medication before trying it yourself. I know from personal experience how serious the side effects can be from not properly weaning myself off of the medications. Remember that this class of meds affects your brain chemistry...

I quit klonopin cold turkey. Nothing happened. I felt no withdrawal, no anxiety, no bad side effects, NOTHING. I know people say it's dangerous and can cause seizures, but I was fine. If you are fine now, I'd say not to take anymore. Good Luck!

If you have gone three days already I would say your risk of having any life endangering sideffects are very very low. Don't take any more.

I don't think I could make it without it. I take 5 mgs/day and it definitely keeps me sane.
