yes to them all. i have had raynauds for 12 years and its a pain in the ****. people dont understand how debilitating it can be. my doctor recommended that i take ginko biloba- cant say it helped me but it has some i believe. the only medical help i know of, and this was offered to me a few years ago was to go into hospital on a drip for 3 days to do something to my blood, cant remember what now, anyway didnt appeal so i didnt do it. the only thing you can really do is wrap up and try not to let it get to the painful stage. easy to say i know thats what people advise me but unless i wear a balaclava in the colder months and ski wear im still gonna suffer! there is a support group and your dr will prob have more updated advice so its worth a visist. it is to do with bad circulation so excercise will help.

Is it Raynauds Syndrome?
Bad Circulation?

Yes, mine do. If you're out side for a while in cold weather, your feet and hands will be the first parts to go cold because your body takes blood away from them first and keeps it in the core to keep that warm as this is the most important part of your body. You also loose a considerable amount from your feet, hands and head.
It could be poor circulation, which I imagine is more common in smokers.

Yes, definitely, but then I'm cold blooded anyway, except my heart, that's usually warm. My Grandad used to say if you keep your feet warm the rest of the body will be warm. When it's cold the body naturally concentrates on keeping the vital organs warm.
No doubt doctors will put any of the labels on it that you mention, but I've suffered from cold hands and feet all my life.

I don't smoke and I do have problems with cold hands and feet. However, I can usually alleviate this by doing breathing exercises, which helps the blood circulation. Breathe in slowly as deep as you can through your nose, then breathe out through your mouth and make sure you expel all the air from your lungs. This helps warm up my feet.

Mine don't, but this is only because my kindly auntie Aggie bought me fuzzy pink slippers for Christmas with matching gloves, hat and scarf.
