Let him know that you just need some time to yourself. Do it gently so he doesn't think that you are breaking up, but be firm. Assure him that you love him, but you miss your friends and need to spend time with them too. Good luck.

Well you should just tell him, if you two are comfortable enough with each then this shouldn't be a problem. He should understand and his feelings shouldn't be hurt. Though by telling someone this, it's kind of like saying you're smothering me. You may not want to break up now, and it is for you both to have time to hang out with your friends. But I don't know if you feel smothered maybe you should take a break from him. Good luck hon!

Every young woman your age should have her space and her friends....I am glad you realize that although you love him , you need your space.
Although I am quite older than you, I will tell you how I handled a similar situation,
I planned out my week....I told Bob ( fake name) that on Monday's I had to spend quality time with my sister (and I made myself do just that ) and on Wed, Thur. and Friday, I was working out at the gym ( and I did just that ) and I got to see Bob on Tues. Sat and Sun ( if I wanted too.) He was not happy, but I did it, got closer to my sis, and got in shape! You need to take control of your time, and don't be afraid to do that.

Just tell him that as much as you love being with him that you sometimes also enjoy spending time with your friends as he should do as well. If he does not understand this, then maybe he needs some growing up to do. Good luck to you!

explain to it him. let him now you'd like to hang out with your friends sometimes without him being around. (as harsh as that sounds.) you shouldnt lie to him, be honest with him. maybe like the next day ask him if he wants to do something.

Just be honest and tell him! He might not realize he's crowding you! Just be sincere about it!
