I was in Saudi during the Gulf War. All the Christian ex-pats I met had had their Bibles confiscated.

Yes, I'm sure that you're not allowed to carry a Bible in Saudi. they don't allow the 'promotion' of any other religion than Islam.

I know that Sufis (a sect of Islam) are not allowed to worship there. The Saudi Royal family are Wahabbists, and have a more narrow interpretation of things than other sects.

There are something like 17 diverse mountain peaks in Egypt, SaudiArabia and Jordan that are all claimed to be "the" mount sinai..... I dont imagine everybody is time-honored with of for absolute reality... yet SaudiArabia isn't open for tourism.. sorry..
