Currently, there are border patrol agents and police officers facing criminal charges because they are protecting our border, country, and citizens. Why is this travesty of justice taking place in our country?

I think it is criminal what has been done to these two border patrol agents. The criminal is free and suing the US for $5 million and the heroes are in prison. THAT'S WRONG.

I don't care that the paperwork was wrong. He deserved to be shot in the butt since he was fleeing. Why did they believe a drug smuggler over the agent when the criminal said he didn't have a gun (yea right!).

We have Homeland security claiming that these agents said they were out to "shoot Mexicans" that day but have no documentation to back it up. Something's really stinky here!

This makes me very mad, and some people in here think they can just shoot out "because they broke the law" is the answer to this..you watch and see what happens..These men did their job, and apparently letting a "DRUG DEALER" is better off then a Border Agent protecting us? There is alot more to this case that I wish others would read..if you go out and follow up on the web on this you will see what really happened. I wish I knew how this happened...Both of these men who had young kids at home who if have to serve the full sentence will not see their kids grow up..for doing their job. We all need to step up and write our government if you feel this is a injustice. Something got lost in the case and some of the jury were told they were mislead.

The Constitution's wording on the Right to Bear Arms is, unfortunately, very poorly worded. But if one takes the time to look in the Federalist Papers, s/he will find that our founding fathers saw the right to bear arms as a privilege that this country should retain at all times. The Federalist Papers and our founding fathers in other writings state that every citizen has the right to bear arms and the American Government should never have the right to take that privilege away. They believed the right to bear arms is the difference between free people and slaves. Every free person, they said, is part of the militia, not an elite few. Furthermore, that official membership in a "well-regulated militia is not necessary" to bear arms. The very thought of banning guns is enough to start paranoia in many people who consider this a threat. There's too much to write here, but I'll list my sources below for anyone to check out who is interested.

Because your legal system allows for it. Its called public accountability. And not all those who protect the borders do so out of a sense of duty. Some are also criminals themselves and choose to operate outside the law by operating under its protective envelope. There must be freedom to investigate each public employee and the acts or omissions they make. Being charged and investigated is not an indication of guilt for a wrongdoing, but a system of checks and balances.

So get used to that because its here to stay.

They were doing their job. The person was trafficking drugs over the border. More than likely they are armed. I don't want be defenseless to a criminal when they will kill me without mercy.

They may be doing a Nobel job but, they may also be breaking our laws at the same time. Its not like police officers are always honest about everything they do.

Again you are spewing your uneduacted opinion on this forum. You are not in law enforcement and don't know the whole story. So with no facts figures or quotes again this is just pointless rambling.

Because the ACLU and other liberal organizations that hate America are turning the laws against them. Lining up false witnesses, etc.
