if i upgrade my pc to windows vista home premium ,will it keep the files and programs i had on it before

yes it will if you configure your pc to dual boot

i have done this befor if you just upgrade it will keep all your programs and data you wont loose a thing /if you do a fresh install then it will put all old windows and programs to a file in my computer /program files
