This is assuming certain God concepts, namely that:
1. People are inherently sinful
2. That Jesus is/was God
Not all religions, not even all Christians, agree with these statements. The pogroms and persecutions of Jews happened, and scripture was used as an excuse for it. If there was no scriptural interpretation, another excuse would have been invented.

John 3:18
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
We condemn ourselves.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Sin has to be punished. Its wages are death.
Hebrews 9:22
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
So Jesus took our punishment. God does forgive us, but our sin has to be paid for. That's what Jesus was for.

Listen, he suffered so you wouldn't have to ; you then have that salvation but whether you move closer to it or farther from it is your choice; at the end, the judgment will show you how close or how far from salvation you are by how you lived your life; we don't condemn Jews killing Christ; they condemn themselves by non acceptance of the gift of the savior from God; to think that they know better than God and by thinking that they know better they are placing themselves above God , his plan and his gift; they had the choice as we do ; no one should be calling anyone anything; and they don't have the right to do so; only God has the right to judge someone's actions and life; not our job ; not our place and anyone telling you differently is not a christian. God will weed them out , he always does.

You don't understand at all the plan of salvation. Jesus had to die for us, for our salvation. It was the only way to free us from our mortal bodies and this flesh of sin. God has forgiving us always, but that was not the problem. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. Romans 1:25
9What shall we conclude then? Are we any better[b]? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. 10As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; 11there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. 12All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."[c] 13"Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit."[d] "The poison of vipers is on their lips."[e] 14"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."[f] 15"Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16ruin and misery mark their ways, 17and the way of peace they do not know."[g] 18"There is no fear of God before their eyes."[h] 19Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. 21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,[i] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3:9-26
We were doom to death because of our sin, not because of God.

Now you know what the Jews were chosen for.
Sorry about that.
The passion of Christ is an attention getter and a contract. The persecution of the Jews is a human invention not necessarily a divine one.
Keep in mind that when the Jews would conquer their neighbors, and go about harvesting foreskins, it did not increase their popularity.
The muslim invasions of parts of europe asia and africa, followed by the christian crusades didn't help much either.

He chose to be tortured and executed because of the fact that he came to earth to die for us. The reason He lived through those hours of great pain is because he stood in our place, although he didn't have to, and stuck up for the sins of humanity. Going through this, he suffered and paid for our sins and therefore saved us all. This is biblically speaking of course.
Whatever condemns the Jews were blamed for is the cause of human corruption, beliefs, and bias.

So you believe that deception? If you have a farm and you hired farmers to take care of your garden. First, you gave them housing, Then you taught them how to plant and grow grapes. You said to them, "Do your works well and I will lend you money first and if you do well, you can pay me back what I Iend you and I may even give you all the things you need including ownership of this farm." Time came and they began to be irresponsible to the point of not having even one grape tree to bear fruit. Then they even owe you so much that they cannot afford to pay you back. They also become so obstinate they even blame you for not giving them enough for them to live well.
As the owner of the farm, would you ask your son to go to the farm and do what the farmers did not do. Then tell your son to pay back what the irresponsible farmers owe you? Or would you tell your son to send them away?
Do you really believe that God is that stupid that He would even go down and take human form to give yourself up and be killed to correct the mistakes of the ones you just created? My God is not the God people have created for their ignorance. How about yours?

Blood needed to be shed for the forgiveness of sins. Why? God knows. Literally. As the the Jews, they are no more Christ-killers than any other sinner (in other words, all of us). Besides, as CJ wisely put it, Jesus GAVE his life.

In our own limited justice system, we extract payment for wrong doing - without it, there would be no justice. God, being totally holy, cannot stand sin - we were condemned to eternity without Him - God loves us so much, He paid the penalty for our sins Himself. Besides, mankind would not understand the extreme consequences for their actions nor the extreme love of God without His extreme sacrifice.

God was not tortured and executed - Jesus was. The Jews did not do it -- the Romans did. Geeze, get your facts straight!
"The Romans were also guilty in the death of this innocent Man. Pilate sentenced Him, knowing He was innocent of the charges brought against Him. The Romans carried out the sentence in typical Roman fashion—a brutal beating, scourging and crucifixion. It was a Roman who drove the nails into His wrists and feet. It was a Roman spear that was thrust into His side."
