I've noticed that a lot of lightskinned Black women date men who are darkskinned. Do a lot of lightskinned women prefer to date men who are darker then they are?

DEPENDS ON THE WOMAN. SOME LIGHT SKIN WOMEN PREFER LIGHT SKIN MEN BECAUSE THEY WANT THEIR OFFSPRINGS TO BE LIGHT. I AM BROWN SKIN AND I PREFER BROWN OR DARK SKIN MEN BECAUSE I AM MORE ATTRACTED TO DARKER COMPLEXTIONS. SO IT'S UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL. OPPOSITES DON'T ALWAYS ATTRACT.

I agree totally with waht everyone had to say i am a light skinned woman and i prefer not to date dark skinned men, i am just more attracted to light skinned men. Now more dark skinned men approach than the light skinned does. it really doesnt matter about the tone just as long you are being treated right.

Well there's a phrase that "opposites attract" and that means a lot of things, but a lot of dark skinned people like light skinned people and vice versa. I am a medium brown (I'm not bright and I'm not dark either)...but I prefer a guy that's brighter than I am..I have dated dark skinned guys but I prefer the lighter ones.

There is no rule to this. If the light-skin women are nicely treated by the dark-skin men, they'll like them better.

that is a good question...it has alot when it comes to men and women to do with prefference..and the individaul...my friend is dark skinned and she said to me that she will not date a dark skin man..i know a dark skin man who will only date light skinned females..me on the other hand could care less what color he is..treat me good and i am yours forever

It just so happens that my husband is darker than I am. I did not date or marry him, because of his skin shade. I married him because of who he is.I do not think that dating has alot to do with the shade of your skin. It has alot to do with if you think that the other person is attractive and how you feel overall about them.
