is there a way to de-warp a pewter platter that i stupidly put in the dishwasher?

You need to take it to a good metalsmith, who should be able to straighten it out for you without it costing a fortune.

Well, if you consider it ruined, you might consider putting it in a large pot of boiling water. Can't make it any worse. Works for plastic.
