Been reading about cutting flea collar up and suck into vacuum bag to kill the fleas. After all some collars put highly flamable warning in the package.

Aren't flea powder highly flamable too? Better to kill.

The best thing to do is when you are done vaccuming then dump it into the trash and then immediately put that trash outside in the garbage and put it out away from your house. I have heard that people put flea collars in the vaccum bags when they change bags but I dont think sucking them up is good for the vaccum itself. I dont know about catching fire but if you are worried about it then just make sure you dump the dirt/bag out whenever you are done vaccuming. If you just leave it those pesky little fleas can sometimes get back out and reinfest your home. To keep on top of the fleas you need to continue cleaning you house the way you are and also treat the yard and the animals for fleas so that way they dont keep reinfecting each other. hope this helps.

Dyson by far! I used to sell vacuums and the Dyson is the best. Someone else said it doesn't matter which one, because of the attachments, which is true. The animal comes with a nice hand held attachment for your furniture. The dyson is also nice because you will never have to buy bags or filters or a belt! The filter you clean every 6 months or so, empty the canister when it is close to full and the clutch system is awesome! If you get a sock caught in the brushes, then it will make an awful sound, but that is the clutch system working. If you have more questions, just email me!

First...flea collare are at best, ineffective and should not be used. Your best defense against flease would be first and foremost...get your dog on frontline or some other vet prescribed flea/tick/mosquito treatment. It works wonders!! Also...get a professional exterminator to come to the house. A few times a year if necessary...that will nip your problem in the bud!

It shouldn't catch fire, but your best bet would be to either use flea powder and empty immediately or spray the carpet for fleas wait until it dries and vacuum it twice.

The vacuum has a paper bag inside and surely it would be more risky than the collar. Get with the Frontline and relax.

Why not suck up some flea powder insted. I assume you want to have it in there for when you suck up future fleas it will kill them.
