Ignorance

Josephus, a Jewish historian, mentioned Jesus in his writings toward the end of the first century C.E., roughly 60 years after Jesus' death.
As a non-Christian, Josephus would have no reason to accept the historical reality of Jesus unless there was some sound basis for it.
In one of his works, Josephus discusses disturbances that were caused by the Jews during the time Pontius Pilate was governor of the region of Judea (26-36 C.E,) The disturbance centered around a man named Jesuss and his followers, Josephus identifies Jesus as "a wise man....a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of men who received the truth with pleasure," and he notes that Jesus was later condemned by Pilate to crucifixion. While this mention of Jesu does not suggest that Josephus himself accepted Jesus or the claim made about Jesus by his followers, it does seem clear that Josephus recognized Jesus to be a historical person who had a profound impact on the people he encountered.

Read also about Tacitus, a Roman historian.....Pliny the Younger another Roman source and Suetonius a Roman historian and lawyer.
All these writers prove the historical existence of Jesus......rather than biblical sources.

a lack of reverence for a deity even if u dont worship or actually believe in it makes u foolish ... because u assume the deity does not exist even though u have no proof ... even ancient peoples with different gods were cautious not to piss off anothers god because u just never know the consequences ... and since there is no reason not to at least be reverent and respect anothers beliefs or gods ...

I was born into the realm of Catholicism and my blood line is of the House of David. I have learned much in the past 60 years and although my Great-grand father was Albert Einstein I find it means nothing. We are all individuals who make themselves what they are today. To stand up for a cause is in effect a declaration that I am , Who am. Let me lock horns and send me an E-mail at blueridgemotors@yahoo.com

Why would anyone assume that anyome might be afraid of things in which they do not believe? Ignorance, stupidity, failure to think things thru, all the reasons they are so credulous to begin with.

"Randy The Atheist"s answer is bullcrap and that i'm shocked you theory it made experience, because of the fact swimming isn't even "on" the water, that's dealing with it. human beings knew what swimming grew to become into lower back then, and that they did no longer call it "strolling on the face of the water". The bible says no longer something approximately Peter "proudly exhibiting his discovered means" after Jesus' resurrection.
