First came the indians, they were the Quitus, the Caras and the Cañaris.

Then came the Incas and invaded them. Atahualpa killed Huascar so he could be the Emperor.

Then the Spanish came and killed Atahualpa. They raped the women and stole the gold.

In 1809 the first atmp to independence took place. It was crushed, and one year later, the Spanish killed all the involved

Then Sucre fought in Pichincha and Ecuador became part of the Great Columbia

Then Bolivar died and Ecuador became a Republic

Then they found oil and became a little more cosmopolitan but sold themselves to the multinational oil companies

Now Correa took office and its uncertain what will happen. He`s probably be couped....

previous to 1974, OPEC grew to become into quite insignificant. In 1974, the Arab-ruled organisation withheld oil from the industry as a meant protest against Western help for Israel. somewhat, it grew to become right into a stratagem to advance oil expenditures. It worked. OPEC grew to become into significant interior the process the 70s and 80s, even into the 90s. in the present day that's much less significant, as many new sources of potential often and oil specifically have been chanced on. With significant exporters like Russia and Mexico not in touch in OPEC, and with Iraq controlled by the human beings, there is little reason to have self assurance that OPEC will ever regain its former prestige and potential.
