how can i somehow make it so that she won't flip out as much, OR throw me out of the house. or throw a huge fit.

Be sure you've talked this grade over with your teacher: what do I need to re-study, can I do a make-up test or is there another way to raise my grade, and so on. Demonstrate to your mother - and your teacher - that your grades matter to you and you're willing to work extra hard to bring your grades up to your capabilities.

Many school systems have after-school programs you can enroll in. Some community centers have homework and study sessions after school. Our school system (in MD) has both televised help (on cable TV) and on-line help, as well as after-school programs. Some teachers choose to work with students one-on-one before and/or after school.

There are many ways you can bring up your grades. Just ask around; you may be surprised at the answers. Your mom will be both surprised and pleased with your efforts - and, eventually, your success.

Go for it!

she'll probably still flip out, no matter what... that's what moms do.

but when you actually are studying next time, make sure she sees you... and be like you're all stressed out because of the studying and the pressure you get from her to raise the grade... tell her you don't like the pressure, maybe if she lightens up once in a while, it'll be easier on you to focus...

good luck tho!

obviously what you studied was not effective, so find an new way to study, ask you mom if she will help you either allow you a study Buddie, or get a tutor, as math is very important, and yes she will throw a huge fuss, you earned that

Your mom would freak out over a C? That seems a little crazy. C is still a passing grade and nothing to be upset over.

she'll throw a fit but she will get over it.
