Yes, nitrogen is helpful.

1. Plants need "fixed nitrogen" to synthesize proteins and nucleic acids.
2. Nitrogen is used in archives, because it's not very reactive, and easy to isolate.
3. Liquid nitrogen is at a convenient temperature for deep-freezing things.

Here's how important it is-- you won't exist without Nitrogen. Forget about the why not.

Your DNA, your muscles, your brain, your hormones, your cells contain nitrogen. Without it you will be incapable of reproducing offsprings (ok, that may be debatable whether you like chidren or not), you won't be able to think or even form sentences, you will not be able to digest your food or even flee if there is madman or zombie coming right at you with a steak knife.

In, short, for your own survival.

answer is...do your own homework, seriously, this asking for homework "help" is ridiculous...you will learn more doing it yourself...maybe that sounds mean but you would be better off..you don't learn anything having us do it.
