When your sick, headcold, flu, etc do you feel really dumb?, I was uptown trying too do errands and I felt just retarted, i couldnt concentrate and it felt like forever to do something.plus i wasnet on any medicine or nothing..does anyone else get like this and do you know why this happens?

It happens to me too. I've been sick this week, and on Wednesday, I just felt really stupid, like I kept messing things up. This happens because more of your energy is going towards trying to get better, and less of it to thinking. Also, if you feel crummy it's hard to pay attention to work or something and distract yourself from not feeling good.

You should stay home when you're sick. You are spreading your germs to others. The feelings you describe are because your body is trying to tell you to get some rest so you can get better.

It might be the medicine. I know when I'm sick the medication often has me off base a little.

Yes this happens a lot but usually it is a sign that your sinuses are really bad. If you think you could have sinusitis consider seeing your doc.

I think pretty much everyone feels this way. If you don't feel good, you can't focus because your mind is on other things. It just happens.
