As a former petsmart groomer i can tell you its very difficult for a dog to escape them ( the groomers) Dogs are required to be on leash or carried with a leash around their necks for safety. Dogs not supervised are kept in kennels. So unless your dog is a total freak and can eat through metal bars, leap tall counters in a single bound and crash through plate glass windows you have nothing to worry about. in the mean time sign your dog up for basic obedience classes and fix that annoying problem.

Being still a puppy, you shouldn't take her in such public places where other animals are and have been until she is fully vaccinated (usually 16 weeks). In fact, a reputable groomer will not allow a puppy who is NOT fully vaccinated into their establishment. If I were you, I'd be more worried about bringing your dog somewhere and the possibility of catching parvo that freaking out about the slight possibility of the dog runny away!
Please wait until your pup has had the complete series of vaccines and the vet says she's safe from these deadly viruses.

Most groomers are experienced dog handlers. It is extremely rare for a dog to get loose from a groomer. Besides, there is the grooming area, which is separated from the reception area, which is separated from the store. The dog would have to go through 3-4 sets of doors in order to get out.

Just make sure they know this, and they will most likely keep her leashed up most of the time to prevent this from happening. From the Petsmarts I have been to, the grooming area is a separate room, so as long as the door is closed, your dog wouldn't be able to get out anyway. If she did happen to, she'd still have to get out of the store. I'm sure the smells in there would hang her up where they could catch her before getting that far.

If your dog is on a leash when you bring her there, and is properly contained by the staffers at Petsmart (who are supposed to be trained in dealing with dog behaviors of this sort) while she's with them, it shouldn't be a problem.
And the best way to deal with a dog who likes to play catch-me-if-you-can, is to NOT chase her. When we have dogs at the shelter who run around the property and won't come inside when called, we make sure they're safe in an enclosed yard, but then ignore them until they come to the door of their own accord -- which is usually within a few minutes, because if no one's chasing them, there is no "game" to play. As soon as they come to the door, they get lots of praise and a treat for (eventually) doing what we wanted.

It is highly unlikely she will get away from the groomers. Petsmart employees are quite capable of handling a puppy. Calm down and get on with your life without worrying about trivial things.

you received't be 13, yet you're performing like you're. it doesn't count number how a lot you desire a canine. Your mom doesn't, and also you stay in her homestead. once you flow out, get in spite of you want. yet even as you stay below somebody else's roof, you keep on with their rules. end of tale. advance up and supplies you up whining. even as i might want to have loved a canine after I graduated college, I moved again homestead and lived with my mothers and fathers for a pair years to help out with my father, who change into in adverse well being. even as I had a sturdy job and can want to have afforded a canine, my mom did not pick one round at that aspect. I also did not understand the position i might want to be residing next, and how troublesome it will be to hit upon a canine-pleasant position to stay. So guess what? i did not get one. Neither did I moan and whine and ***** about it. And a sturdy element, too. My next flow took me to an area I had hassle looking a apartment i might want to discover the money for that could want to even enable my small caged pets, no longer to point one which could want to have allowed a canine! I waited to get a canine till I moved again and offered a house. because this is what responsible adults might want to do. They appreciate the desires of those they stay with, and they imagine ahead and make logical judgements.
