Position the camera waist high to take the picture and use a focal length of 85mm (35mm equivalent) or longer. Not knowing how the pictures you're not happy with were taken with makes it hard to ascertain the real problem.
If someone used a wide angle lens slightly above you, it would exaggerate the forehead, making it look disproportionately large.

I think the word of focus here is 'larger'. So obviously you look fine in real life. It's just in photographs you are worried about your appearance. Which, first of all, you shouldnt be.

But anyway, who's taking the photos? A professional? If not, there lies your problem. An ameture will get up close and snap away where as a professional will stand well back and zoom in elimating distorted or elongated features.

If your photo is being taken by a professional, shame on him/her for not setting you right. Anyway, dont directly face the camera. Turn your head slightly to the side and either tilt your head down or up while looking and smiling at the camera. Down is better because personally, I dont like nostril shots. When your head is tilted down, your forehead will be on an angle making it appear smaller. Giving yourself a fringe will also help but that will depend on your current hairstyle.

Lastly, be proud of yourself. You're beautiful the way you were created as is everyone else!

Side swept bangs is a good look. Not FULL on bangs. Usually you need to critique your before doing anything drastic (like bangs) and usually you know if you have a cow-lick (that part that makes your hair bump and never stay rite. So what I'd do is make an appt and ask how you can minimize the forehead and make it look good.. You know? But usually a half bang is generally a good answer!! Good luck!

Style your hair so it covers it, at least partially. And go a little dramatic (A LITTLE, not ridiculous) with youe eye make-up, to draw attention to your eyes rather than your forehead.

a good hairdresser could show you this, they would probably say to let your bangs grow out some. just find a good stylist that you can talk to.
