Hey Mirela,

The LDS Family Search has Fandly entries from Hungary and England in the 1700s. You might need to trace back through your family tree branch for Fandly one person at a time until you get back to an origin.

By directly searching for Fandly, there were none found, but 'sound alike' searching give Findlay as a substitute. There is no GENFORUM on the name, no entry to the USA via Ellis Island, and there are no surname DNA projects on this name. YOu could take a DNA test for Haplotype. This shows one person's set of values for the markers that have been tested. Two individuals that match exactly on all markers have the same haplotype. And it is used to show migrations of people. There are world projects that you can join, Sorenson is FREE, for a 12 marker test (last time I checked).

Try the message boards and data bases at www.rootsweb.com and www.familysearch.org the LDS site. If it's Irish or Scots it's probably a variation of Finley like the other poster noted.
