I believe that there is some sort of over-arching spirit that binds people together into a great fraternity. I don't know what that spirit is, I have no name for it.

I have become increasingly aware that it cannot be the God portrayed by the various religions of the world. I'm sure there are many religions of which I am aware, but it seems each religion has a differing notion of what "God" is, and how we should behave in relation to "God."

I have been observing various religions being easily manipulated by power-seekers. Jared Diamond called this "Religion in service to kleptocracy."

My theory is that we should avoid churches and similar institutions as dangerous.

Absolutely! I believe not on someone Else's faith, but I have established this myself. I believe through Faith, not sight that Jesus is who he says he is. He has made himself manifest in my life, even though I have not seen him, with my eyes. But I know without of a shadow of a doubt that God is real. For He took me out of the muck & myer, & invited me into the kingdom of God. "Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham." -Romans 4:16
I hope you come into the realization of the unseen One, who Loves you with an unconditional Love. He is ready any time you are to know Him. Draw close to Him, & he draws close to you.

Yes. I am Christian, and I believe because I study in the original manuscripts and know the languages required. I believe because the entire thing makes sense. I believe because it is in my heart to understand the deeper messages given in scripture.
I believe because I understand things like that there is no controversy between science and Gods truth.
I believe because of all the prohecies already come to pass, and the prophecies that are coming to pass right now, today, right here on this forum.

Yes I believe in God with all of my heart. God answers prayer. God heals the broken hearted. I was baptized Baptist but for several years now I've been going to a non-denominational Church.

Yes, I believe in God. I have always believed in God and I always will. I have felt His presence when I pray, not every time but I have. I know He lives because of my child, who was having seizures 15-20 times a day was healed by God thru the hands of a Christian healer. I am a Christian.

Yes, I believe in God and everything the Bible says about Him. Twice He has spoken to me in an audible voice and the Bible tells us His sheep hear His voice. The Holy Spirit speaks and gives dreams and visions. I strive to walk in the Spirit daily so I can stay close to Him.

I was raised Baptist and went to church every Sunday morning, evening and Wednesday night most of my youth. But I wanted more than what the church (religion) was giving. I visited Methodist, Pentecost, Church of God and Catholic, but walked away empty.

I started praying and seeking God for myself. Reading and studying His word and asking for a close relationship with Jesus.
I was saved and baptised, but I didn't know Jesus. I wanted His presence. The Bible said I would hear His voice, so I prayed to hear His voice and after 4 months He spoke to me. Those 2 words He spoke changed my life forever. I hunger and thirst for His voice. To hear His voice again was all that I wanted. Four years later, He spoke to me once again. His voice is the most comforting voice you will ever hear. He just lets you know He loves you and you are okay with Him. That is all we want to know that we are okay with Him. The words of his audible voice are words that I will never forget. He first said only 2 words and four years later only 8 words, but they are unforgettable words. With the 8 words I also got a beautiful vision of a ball of light at the top of the road.

Religion is only a way to stay in fellowship with other believers, but knowing God - get in His word and on your knees in silent prayer to Him. Keep asking and seeking until He makes Himself known to you. Don't give up. Expect to hear from Him and you will hear.

I believe in Allah, and it is a choice I have recently made. I chose Allah and the Islamic faith because I find the most truth in it. Mind you, not like the Muslims in the Middle East waging war on each other. I believe in Islam as a religion of peace. In fact, the word 'Islam' translates into 'Peace and Safety'.

As-Salamu Alaykum - Peace be upon you
