I would have to say emotional pain is the worst. I was sexually abused when I was younger and that is something I have to live with for the rest of my life. Physical pain on the other hand is no fun either. I am coming off a antidepressant and is the worst of all when it comes to withdrawal symptoms. I feel horrible and sick from it. You guessed it though. I am taking it b/c of depression linked to my sexual abuse. All in all everything seems to have a link to emotional pain being the worst.

Physical - Stepping on a rusty garden rake and then having to go to the doctor to have the rust cleaned out of the wound (without any anesthesia)
Emotional - There is no greater pain than that which can be inflicted upon you by the opposite sex

most of my pain has been emotional, getting slapped around by my mother as a kid did not help, but the worst pain I have felt was when my sister called from out of state to tell me my Dad had died, he was the love of my life and it felt like the world had stopped, and I'm still not over it and it was 9 years ago.

Emotional is definitely the worst pain. Betrayal of trust by the person you love is the worst for me.

Physically, I smashed my hand between two football helmets in a game. Broke 3 fingers and it hurt for a long time.

Emotionally, when I was 22, my mother died after her third heart attack. Her health had gone downhill steadily since I was 17 and had started doing drugs. I had great potential but threw it all away. I had academic scholarships to a good college and dropped out after 3 semesters. I blamed myself for her health deteriorating and for her death. It was a devastating blow that led to me eventually attempting suicide.

I have recovered from it all, been clean and sober for 12 years, graduated from college, and have a wife and kids and a good job. But I will never forget the total devastation that resulted from my mother's death. Don't do drugs, folks. Just don't.

Emtional has been worse for me. Physical pain heals, I fell on my dirtbike and took all the skin off of my arm and my knee. Now they are scarred but they do not hurt.
Sexual abuse is awful but only the emotional pain stays over time.
Scars heal therapy works life is grand

The worst emotional pain I have felt is when my father had a heart attack and a stroke and they told me that he would never be the same.

the worst pain i've ever physically felt was when i had a kidney infection. i thought i was going to die. yes, my labor was HARD, but i never felt like i was dying, so it was painful, but not as scary. the worst emotional pain i ever felt was when i left my exhusband & had to explain to my son why we had to do it (he was a drug addict). but, both pains pass & life is good once again!

I think emotional pain can be much worse than physical pain. For example, the death of a loved one.

Emotional. There's a girl that I met in high school that I fell in love with but she didn't feel the same way about me. Now she's gone off to college and I will probably never see her again.
