I have to sensor this question, so read carefully.
At night my boyfriend goes into the washroom for long periods of time before we go to bed. One time I used the washroom after him and noticed what seemed to be a little evidence that he was "self abusing" in there.

I'm a little naive when it comes to these things... why would he be doing that? Do I just not cut it for him, or what? We aren't having sex, but we definitely do things which would normally get him "there"... or should for that matter, but sometimes he can't..

any insight? serious answers please

I'm guessing that he may be doing that so that he doesn't get too excited too early with you. That would explain why he sometimes doesn't get there...it's his second time around by then.

He's just pleausuring himself sexually. It means that his sex drive is probably stronger at night. So, in order to get his mind of sexual thoughts, he "self abuses" himself so that he'll be tired and can fall asleep. My advice is to let him go on with it as it is a natural thing that some guys do and don't confront him or embarrass him by having some kind of long conversation about it. Just act like you didn't notice it or if you stumble into him again, just say, "oops, excuse me dear."

As for sex with him, just be supportive and try not to get into any arguments with him the night you think you'd be interested in having it with him. Guys tend to be better sexually if their woman is encouraging, shows that she trusts him, and keeps him relaxed. You also have to convince him that you want it as much as he does. That's how you make your man feel like a man.

The difficulty is that some females, when they feel horney, can be very confrontational just prior to sex. Try to avoid that behavior unless you know that he's turned on by a more dominant female.

After that, as he opens up to you, you may be surprised with some of his skills.

its not you its him, don't worry about it unless it affects your sex life too. although i wonder if you are living together why aren't you having sex? that would explain alot as even though you do things to 'get him there' its just not the same. i would suggest talking honestly to him...thats always best in a relationship no matter the subject.

you boyfriend sounds like he has a sexual addiction problem, and should probably seek out a support group.
