According to the scripture, Jesus suffered for about a day before he died. Ghandi suffered many times throughout his life, was imprisoned, beaten, and eventually shot to death. Many people have suffered at least as much as Jesus and some even more.

How could anyone have suffered more than Jesus? When He went up on the cross He experienced complete separation from God. He took the sins of everyone upon himself and became the punishment for those sins. The Bible says that He became sin.
God had to turn his back on Jesus who is God in the flesh, because God cannot allow sin into heaven. That is why when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the sins that we commit become crucified with Him and we are no longer guilty. We are then welcomed into a relationship with God and Heaven.

Jesus would be the last person to not acknowledge the suffering of others. But, He was the Son of God, perfect, and suffered for one purpose, for the salvation of all mankind. His suffering means that all who have suffered have not suffered in vain.
Because of Him, there is hope beyond all suffering.

Christians are a weird sect.
They seem to be Sadists to a man. Notice how they are fixated on the torture and suffering of one individual, you are right his suffering was nothing compared to millions of those who have died at the hands of their fellow man, and certainly not as bad as those murdered by Christians.
But they live in their own world where they are right all the time, and anyone who disagrees will be tortured for eternity
.
Why ask intelligent questions of these people.
They have no need for justification, they owe you or I no explanation, they are not allowed to think for themselves or have original thought. All knowledge that drives these misfits is to be found in a bad science fantasy book, they believe that it is the word of a God and all of it is correct fact, apart from the bits that they don't agree with. Those bits they claim need interpretation.
Simply Christians don't care about the rest of mankind, or anyone else but their own selfish selves.

Many have suffered, but Jesus made the ULTIMATE SACRIFICE. He took the sins of the world upon his shoulders, even though he was without sin, and died so we all can have eternal life if we choose to take it.
Others who have died for their Christian beliefs and actions have been acknowledged -- they are recognized as martyrs and saints.
The level of Jesus' suffering was so great, a new word was created to describe it: excruciating
I recommend that you open a Bible and check out the book, The Case for Christ, which details from a medical and scientific standpoint how much Jesus suffered.

They should get acknowledged. Jesus showed us a better way of life, which if follwed, would alleviate the suffering of billions of people. In one sense, Jesus' suffering was a narrative on the suffering of all of mankind.

Free Will brother- Everyone has choices in life & if they have suffered then that was the path they went down, plus without suffering what would we have to testify about?

The reason we are so thankful is because He was/is perfect. He suffered for us, not just because he suffered. I am also thankful for other people in history from George Washington to Gandhi, but neither of them were perfect, and no one on this world has or ever will send me to heaven.

Because no one suffered asmuch as HE did. It wasn't just being crucified that caused His pain- lots of people were crucified. The suffering came from taking the guilt of every sin, every hurt, all pain upon Himself. If you have ever felt sorrow from somthing you have done to hurt someone, imagine that sorrow expanded to include sorrow from every single time a person has hurt someone over the whole course of time- past, present and future. Jesus took the punishment for all of it- He made atonement for it, the payment for it before God. He did it because He loves us and wants us to stand before God innocent. If you believe He paid for your sin, you can stand before God worthily because the eternal punishment for your sin was given to CHrist- you do not have to bear it. It is a wonderful gift- all you need to do is to believe it and accept that love.

I taught world religions and theology for many years and not once have I seen the term "Tormentist". Nor do I know of any dictionary that includes it. Of course, the Bible is full of references which many interpret as referring to a literal hell. I don't know of a single university professor who would disagree with that simple fact. Documentation? Evidence?
