I often suffer from pain in my head , not complete head but some part generally in back part , This type of pain is not like the "headache" pain. It is like when we suffer from some head injury, like if the head bangs on the wall.....we have a pain that last few days.

I get this type of pain.......and it suddenly occurs and vanishes in a day and occurs back again after some days......i haven't got any head injury.

Does anyone know......what it cud be.

I get that every now and then. It feels like someone hit me with a 2x4 in the back of the head. It usually goes away within a day or so. I figure I either slept wrong and pulled a muscle or chalk it up to tension. Take some Advil and it should go away. Otherwise, see your doctor.

I get this problem regularly at the base of my neck, and it often spreads along to my shoulder blades, and up into the back part of my head, I think it's where you sleep at an awkward angle and strain the muscles in your neck, I sometimes wake up feeling like I've been hit by a bus! If you're really concerned you should get it checked out at the doc's. I've tried using 'Deep Heat' gel, but I guess that would be preety hard to rub onto your hair!

First, definitely go see a doctor, the head is nothing to slack off about getting checked out.

However, one possibility is sleeping method and pillows. Check that out, you could be suffering from mild discomfort from this. I know when i had sharp pains in my neck and the cause was from bad sleeping positions.

I recommend seeing a neurologist if the pain persists. You may have a cervical disk that has deteriorated that's pinching some nerves.

It could be a lot of things. It could be the beginnings of an aneurysm or a migraine. It could be an inflamed nerve or nerve bundle. As already suggested, I'd have it checked out, just to be sure.

It could be neurogenic pain. It could be also related to constipation. Get an x ray first. Good luck.
