It is, if the utensils were not sterilized prior to being used on your hands. The advice these days is to have your own set of tools for the manicurist to use, or see that he/she has the proper sanitizing or sterilizing device(s) and is using them.

YES! Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV! You can also get a severe infection (such as staph) at the site which might require antibiotics.
I would be more worried about Hepatitis C and HIV.
Test for these in a month!
Good luck!
Next time take your own manicure kit!

if the salon did not sterilize their equipment thoroughly then you can catch an infection. it is very easy to catch a fungal nail infection but no need to worry as it is not too serious and can be treated easily

Yes, and if you have any redness, swelling, or it doesn't heal quickly, see your family doctor..
You can also get an infection if the nail tech doesn't change gloves inbetween clients..
Always ask them to do this if you don't see they have done so..

While it is possible, it may not be probable. Monitor the affected area for signs and symptoms of infection.

You probably won't get an infection, but you can get fungal infections when you get manicures.
Be sure to go to a place you trust.
