Does anyone know if the keys for a 1994 VW Jetta are electronically coded, or are they just regular keys? I want to make an extra copy but I don't want to have to fork out alot of money for a dealer key.

I believe most VW's are normal. Some of the newer just have laser cut keys which must come from the factory. Go to your local locksmith, they will tell you right away.
