The only way you are going to get your taxes back earlier than 10 to 14 days is to pay a place like H&R Block and then get their "instant" check. However, know that the check is essentially a loan based on their belief that they filed your return correctly and will get that same amount back.

I don't know about a FEW days but e-filing will usually get a refund direct deposited into your account in about 7-10 days. Much faster than mail.

You can go to a local tax service for fast refund processing if you live in a metro area. Good luck if your ordering publications from the IRS they sometimes take months.
