The Army Physical Fitness Test consists of doing the maximum number of repetitions of push-ups and sit ups in two minutes. The last APFT event is the two mile run.

Rawlings has the links that you need to look at. Having spent plenty of time grading the APFT, you must remember that it is not just that you have 2 minutes to complete as many push-ups and sit-ups as possible, but that these must be performed correctly to military standard. I've seen people do 60 or 70 push-ups in the 2 minute time frame but only get credit for app. 40 because they were not done to standard.
