It is one of a few times in history where the Federal government illegally used the military against American citizens. It was not a decision of the FBI. It was a decision of President Bill Clinton's attack pitbull, Janet Reno.
Kent State anyone?
No, Koresh and his followers did not deserve to be burned alive.

NOPE.
He had coffee at the same coffee shop every day and often chatted with the police. They could have grabbed him there.
He often repaired their guns for them.
No idea why Janet R put the finger on him and MURDERED all those people.
Illegal Tank was used - Poison gas that was outlawed by the United Nations and the USA..
I still wonder who it could be that was being shown what can happen if........?
PS= I am still wondering why they destroyed ALL the evidence in such short order after they filmed what they wanted to show on the media..

He deserved jail for sure. Maybe it the whole truth could be known, maybe death. The FBI should have been dealt with severely for their roll in this. Their unprofessional zeal for action cost the lives of many "innocent" women and children.

Nope, I believe the ATF had a statement to make because they were about to be disbanded by the government. Also " drop the Chalupa" Reno always had an itchy trigger finger.

Hmm. I think the dude was up to some wack stuff, that maybe he should have been put in the slam for. I think the guv WAY OVERREACTED and did OVERKILL on the assault of the "compound". The innocents didn't need to be killed. We may not approve of the way people think and live, but if they are keeping to themselves, and not harming children (the catch) then adults should be left to their own devices as long as they leave the rest of us out of it.

You must not have your facts straight. David Koresh killed his followers and himself. The ATF had nothing to do with that. You should go by facts -- not what the media feeds you. I live in the area where it happened. I know what really happened.

No, what he did was not worthy of death, but I believe they could have gotten other charges against him.
It was the ATF that surrounded the compound.
He was accused of firearms violations.

No, but he wouldn't come out, so he didn't get a trial. None of those that died deserved it.IT was like shooting fish in a barrel.
