I currently take nexium, but have no health ins. It costs me almost $300 a month.. I'm out of work due to an injury, and am getting work. comp. payments, but still have to pay full price for meds. Thre are no generics, and it is not on wal-marts $4 plan..It is the only med. that works for me, otc meds don't work at all..

Consider calling your doc and asking if you can switch to something that costs less and works just as well.

a lot of places (walmart, target, some grocery stores) are doing prescription deals for $4-5. there are specific drug lists that show what is covered, and it's always generic (you can find the lists on the store's web pages). you could ask your doc about a drug similar to nexium that is on that list. you don't need insurance or anything to get that price, it's for everyone.
