he has 3-5 yrs to live..does any one know of any treatment ANY at all medical/herbal..anything that can help or cure..i have researched it and know there is no found cure ..but please let me know if anyone knows of a doc or specialist..his liver and spleen are enlarged and still growing...help?

I got the following from a website. Not very promising and you probably have already heard of it.
Causes
Niemann-Pick disease is inherited. It is an autosomal recessive trait, which means that both parents must carry the abnormal gene for their child to inherit the disease. The exact cause depends on the type of Niemann-Pick disease.
Treatment
No specific or effective treatment currently exists for Niemann-Pick disease. Patients with type B may be given oxygen to help with lung problems. Research is focusing on the use of bone marrow transplantation, enzyme replacement therapy, and gene therapy.

Prayers are with you. It would be a hard thing to live with, having had neighbors with this problem. but this is many years later, maybe the're making progress. Is there anything under orphan diseases? Website below might help.
