We dont wish you harm. We just dont agree with your belief. It is the Muslims that are trying to destroy you. Why dont you know your enemy?

I know that most Atheists do not wish Christians harm. I also know that most Muslims do not wish us harm. I don't see any other religions as enemies. Please don't let some Christians who may try too forcefully to share their faith let you dislike the entire church. No one is perfect and we Christians are no different, but, just like Atheists and Muslims, most of us mean well.

Listen, I really dont mind Atheists, but when that one atheists started a stir in the federal courts about his daughter in school. I just thought that to be well unnecessary. I mean, if the daughter doesnt want to hear it or say it, then dont. its that simple. Muslims arnt our enemies, its the radicles who are abusing the muslim religion saying, hey, you blow yourself up, allah will be happy. Damnit if allah wanted you to win the war, he'd want you win and you would win. Anyway, I dont like, SOME Atheists, SOME Muslims, and even yes SOME christians. Like the ones who are protesting funerals. Just because they come as christians doesnt mean they can be friendly. Get this, my best friend is a satanist. Remember this, Its the people in the religion who know how to show respect, not the religion itself.

Quite the contrary...."Real" Christians Both Love and Pray for the redemption of atheist... The only time we disgree is when atheist try to challenge us on our belief..... And while atheist claim they dont believe in any God....its kinda suspicious that the only religion they tend to contend with the most is Christianity.... Is it because they are so intrigued by our God??? And as far as your muslim comment goes...it seems christians have more in common with muslims then atheist..because at least they "believe"...

Oh and we doknow our enemy and the devices he use (lies, false miracles, PEOPLE!!!) ....it is Satan and his minions that seek to destroy us... But he is defeated and We already have the victory through Christ Jesus !!!!

Jeannette.....(The girl who answered earlier)
You might want to re-evaluate your christianity...because if u think the Lord has saved u and forgiven you, just to keep the Gospel of Jesus Christ to yourself and not share it...You are foolishly deceived..... You should not be ahshamed to share the gospel of Jesus Christ..for it is god's power unto salvation.... And if u are ashamed of him he will be ashamed of you in the day of judgement !!!

why does everyone have such a negative view of Islam on here? there is nothing more wrong with that religion than christianity or any other organized religion. just because the "terrorists" were muslims doesn't mean that all muslims are bad people. those people were EXTREMISTS. if you look close enough at any religion you can find bad things. just remember christianity evolved from judaism and islam evolved from christianity

Hmm. As a Christian I'm not down on anyone. Granted, I'm not a fundamentalist or even a mainstream Christian for that matter. I don't believe that everyone who isn't Christian will end up in a fiery pit or that they can't find happiness or be good people, so I have no interest in evangelism.

Christians, especially fundamentalists are told every Sunday, many many times that it is their duty to go out and try to get everyone they see into the Christian church. And that if they fail to do this those people will stay "lost" and end up in hell. Period. So for many, they see their "witnessing" and calls to worship as helping people who are walking toward the edge of a cliff avoid walking off the edge.

On the other hand their are those "Christians" who fear everyone and everything that doesn't look or sound like them. They use Christianity like a blunt object to beat people into submission. Things like declaring "cultural warfare" or screaming about how Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter books or Pokémon are "of the devil" and are turning people into devil worshipers.

So I think that most Christians don't see Atheists or another other people for that matter, as enemies at all. Some want to "save" you, right or wrong because are truly concerned about you (although it is very understandable why people would find this attitude patronizing, rude and very annoying). And some of us have no thoughts about you at all. It's only a few right-right-wing types that have declared war on you, and frankly they've declared war on ALL of us!

FOR THE COMMON SENSE GUY...

Sorry, silly you can't do a second post in here..
I have evaluated my Christianity. No one who has been taught from birth to be a Christian and then decides on another path does so without a lot of thought and prayer. I simply could not find a way to make it alright for good honest loving people who didn't belong to my faith to burn in hell. Why should someone abandon the faith of their anscestors, one that gives them peace and helps them through there lives, in favor of mine?

I can't go into their heads to see if their faith is REALLY a good solid loving and nuturing one. I can't intercept their communion with their creator to see if it is OUR creator (rather, the being, process, etc. responsible for the creation of all life) How do I know it isn't? All I can do is ask them, and if they say that the answer to all of those questions is "yes" how do I say with any authority that they are wrong? If I can't be sure, I can't justify placing my faith above theirs. And if I can't do that I can't reconcile that person burning in hell.

I'm not ashamed of God or my Christianity at all! If someone asks me about my faith I'll happily share it. But brow-beating people makes no sense to me, and as I said I don't believe "salvation" (meaning a happy after-life) is only possible if you are a born again Christian.

I'm not against all atheists, but all of the atheists that live in my community totally badmouth every other belief in the world besides their own. I'm not even talking JUST religion, either. EVERY TIME anyone says ANYTHING, they HAVE to say something bad about it. It's freaking annoying!

would you agree that patronising smugness is a form of condescending rudeness. how many times have you seen an atheist end their answer saying, "i will ardently wish that you emerge enlightened from your fog of superstitious nonsense". and would Christians be offended by a satanist saying that they would sacrifice a rooster for them to help them see the error of their ways. please do not waste your time praying for me, go and play with your kids, take your partner out for a meal.

I don't wish an atheist harm either.

I just wish they will one day come to know the Truth.

Take that for what it's worth.

Christian and I am not down on anybody. What I am is fed up with is those athiests who tell me that I am stupid because of my faith, which happens all day and all night here at Y/A. However, I will say a prayer for them.
