First of all, my feet are in very nice shape and are pleasing to look at, but there is a little problem. Where my toenail meets the skin on the side in the corner is a little patch of white, dry skin. This is mostly on the big toes. It's not that noticible, but it drives me crazy. Why do I have this? Is this common? What can I do? I've tried lotion and letting my toenails grow a little longer, but I still see it. I always wear sandals. Please help.

Go to a salon so they can scrap the husk off your foot.

You can get a pumas stone (you get these any were like Walmart or Target in the bath soaps isle or by the nail clipper it look like a little block of cement kinda)and wash your feet with this it should help take away what sounds like dead skin (you have) and use a very Strong oily lotion or Vaseline (small amount) rub on your feet before bed. To answer what is a pedicure it is when you go to a salon and sit in a chair you feet soak about 15min and then someone comes and cleans out the nails scrapes the dead skin away and massages your feet then they soak again and if you want they paint your toes clear or colored.

It's common. You can buy a scraper at Walmart for around $3-4 if you are feeling confident. They are in with the rest of the pedicure stuff (files, pumice stones, foot scrub.) Or get a pedicure and they will take care of it. If you want it cheap, try a beauty school.

If your feet are nice to look at, why worry? Alot of ugly feet out there, so, as Tony Soprano would say, " Foget abat it!"
