I don't know what the code is for student and teacher. I don't know what is allowed, so get a student teacher handbook lol. And never write a letter.

NO. WRONG. Not because of his age, but because he's your teacher. It's the same as hitting on your boss. It puts unfair pressure on him and creates a sexually charged work environment for him. It could be misinterpreted as bribery - he will give you an A or preferential treatment if you flirt/date/have sex with him.
Find a man your own age - you don't even know if the professor is single, straight, or whatever. If you really must, wait until the class is over and the grades are finalized, then ask him out.

It depends on if he is involved with anyone else. If he is in a serious relationship or is married, you should steer clear.

Actually, I think you should steer clear anyway. That could put your professor in a dangerous situation. Do you know how the school views professors dating students?

In the end, I just wouldn't tell him.

he may be married/in a serious relationship. and he may not even feel the same.
all 3 of these possibilities are extremely likely and in which case if you do tell him how you feel, will create enormous awkwardness, difficulty and embarrassment on your behalf.
wait until you finish with his class, and if you still honestly feel the same and i doubt you will, by all means come clean. if he is unavailable then walk away - no harm done. and if he is, he is no longer your professor is he?

concentrate on your work.

A couple things to consider...
1. Is he married? Keep it to yourself...
2. Do you care about his career? Keep it to yourself...
3. Do you care that it may make him uncomfortable? Keep it to yourself...

Long story short... there are rules he must follow concering fraternization with students. He can't act on your feelings in the way you would want him to without his job being in jeapardy.

If you still feel this way after you graduate, bump into him off campus and pursue it then, that's when the time would be right.

So... for now... keep it to yourself...

Good LUCK!! ; )

If you're serious about wanting to tell him, you should wait until you're done with the class. If you tell him now, you're just putting him in a very awkward spot and nothing good is going to come out of it. However, if you wait until you're finished with the class and the grades are already posted, something good may just happen.

I think that you should not tell him while you are in his class. Both of you could get into serious trouble if you tell him how you feel. You need to make sure if he likes you back if you just feel like you absolutely have to tell him.
