Why would you want to join an on-line coven, there is no way to be sure it's even a real coven.

A coven is more than just some people who hang out together and talk about "cools spells an' stuff". Covens were groups that got together for group worship, to share things they learned, and to protect each other, how are you going to do that on-line?

How are you going to know if the "coven" is really doing the ritual with you, or even at all? How is someone on line going to know if you mixed the herbs correctly or safely?

This seems more like you are looking for a witch chat group, of which there are many.

Find an actual coven. You know, the kind with real people, not online personas.

If for some reason you cannot find an actual coven, join discussion groups and such online, and find an actual coven when you can.

As other have said, Witchvox is a good place to start.

So is www.cog.org under their listings of local councils

Interesting. why do you want to join an online rather than a real life coven?
You could run a search at yahoo groups for a site.
Witchvox probably has some listed.
Beliefnet has a coven finder, but that's for the real thing and not a cyber coven.

Blessings on your path.

Witchvox.com for networking, or do a Google search for forums relating to Wicca and paganism - there are tons of them out there. Some of them have groups that act as "cyber-covens" after some time of interacting and getting to know one another, so that would be a way to start.

I would be suspect of any group that called itself a "coven" that was "Open to all, just ask!" - there needs to be a level of trust in a coven, IMHO, and that's hard enough to build in person, let alone online.

A Wiccan friend of mine told me this is a good on-line coven:

If you're at all interested in a local coven, and you live in a fairly metropolitan area with a large Unitarian Universalist church, you may find a coven comprised of some of the church's members. Good luck and blessed be.
