Can some one shed some light? My kitten is all over my male (un-neutered) cat. They are both ragdolls not from the same family. He totally ignores her, avoids her and sometimes is just plain hostile. Could it be that she is too young? It seems like she is suffering greatly and trying so hard to attract him. He is about 4 yrs old. I wish they could get along, but maybe he is just never going to like her. - I understand the importance of neutering and spaying. Please no lectures :) Anyone's advise and help related to my concerns is greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't worry about it. It is an animal natural instinct to breed and the male may know something that the kitten doesn't like the fact that she may be to young. In my opinion I think that at 7 months she is too young to be having a litter of babies. Just give it a few more months and your male should come around. Just remember that if you sit there and watch them try and breed it is never gonna happen. They sence tension and all those emotions just by body language

It could be that she is too young. She's feeling the urge, but she's not old enough to have a litter of kittens where everyone, including her, turns out healthy. Either he is aware of this thru kitty senses, or her scent does not appeal to him. He will warm up to her as she gets older, but if you're wanting kittens they may not ever breed.

Gee, wait until she is at least 12 months old, 7 months is a bit too young, especially for a 1st litter, ragdolls are big cats, you dont want to kill her.

My cat, Miss Smoochy, went on heat really badly and my boy puss, Mr Naughty Puss, just hated her at that time and never went near her except to fight.(they're friends now) but one day he just up and jumped on her and they started doing IT in the study, and he had been neutered. I don't know how, but I could see his p*nis so I know they were doing It.

It was a little shocking.

Any way, what I'm trying to say is that he just might change his mind.

I don't Think It Is Going To Like Her, If It doesn't show interest to the kitten on heat immediately.

Try The Kitty IVF, Sorry.

Any pet, dog or cat, should be at least 2 years old before they breed. She is too young.

you should wait till you're female is over a year and a half because even if they do mate now you will probabley have stillborn kittens and it could even kill the mama she is too young to have babies she is still a baby herself trust me I know from experience....
