Please explain to me why you have to be so complicated? I have been very good friends with this wonderfull, warm, generous beautiful woman, who I know that loves me the way I love her.

Last year, out of the blue, at a friends house we told each other that we loved each other, We both never said anything because I was in a relationship (She hasn't had a relationship for over 5 years). She told me she dreamed of sharing her life with me.

This was a dream come true for me because I felt the same way.

Last November I felt that I had to be honest to both myself and my partner so I ended my relationship with her. My friend seemed please and was very supportive, because it was a difficult time for me.

Recently I asked her out on a date and she "wants time" to think?

I know that you may think me a ignorant pig, but I need to know what she needs to think about? Have I let her down or something? Does she now wish she never told me? I am glad she did!

I ended the relationship because I did not love her, I loved my friend but I did not end my relationship to be with her.

I feel really sorry for you...
If I were you I'd take a lot of time for myself, do all the things that I like and wait for her to come back.
If you weren't in love with your ex, leaving her was not a bad thing to do, it would have happened eventually wouldn't it?
Just wait for your friend to come back and if she doesn't find sb who truly deserves you.
Best of luck.

She's probably feeling guilty for your ex partner, no one wants to be branded a home-wrecker.
Maybe she's getting cold feet because she hasn't had a relationship for so long and is nervous about starting a new 1. Though you may be close she might be anxious of stepping your relationship up to the next level.
Give her some time and once she's ready she'll talk about it. In the mean time don't pressure her and everything should work out for you both.
Good Luck xXx

It may have been easier for her to tell you she felt that way because you were in a relationship, therefore, it wouldnt go anywhere. She hasnt had a relationship for 5 years, so she may feel a little out of practice and used to being on her own.. I think she is being a little apprehensive but you just need to reassure her and take things slowly if you really want her. Shes not complicated just a little scared maybe.

Good luck and remember hard work pays off. xxxx

why has she not had a relationship for five years? Do you think she really wants to be in one now? It seemed she felt comfortable when you where taken but now that your free she's incomfortable? Sounds like she has some issues that she has to come to terms with and you really have enough on your plate. I would back out of the situation for a bit and see what happens.

Maybe, she has changed her mind about how she feels about you, or maybe she didn't really have those feelings to begin with, and was just lonely at the time, and wanted to see how far she could take it with you? Who knows why people say and do the things they do? If it's meant to be it will happen. Why are you so ready to jump back into a relationship so soon anyway? Give yourself sometime to know what you want, not what you think you want.

She might be scared to take that step with you because might mess up a good friendship. What if ya'll get together and break up, then ya'll friendship will never be the same. I have a friend and we are the same way. For years I have care about him and turned in to love, but I never made that step because I though I would mess up a good thing.

This one is easier than I thought. Just because you were honest with her, and she seemed please and was supportive, she was still hurt. She wanted to be there for you, but you kind of threw it in her face and instead of trying to let her be by your side and work on your problems together, you set her away from you. She's afraid of getting hurt again. It's either that or she's very involved with someone else, and is afraid of losing him, but she may still really care for you. She's trying to think which would be better for her. You, when you could leave her high and dry again, a new love, who worships her? Decisions, decisions. Doesn't this make sense to you?

She just needs time to make sure you left the other girl not for her but because of who she is. She might be thinking that if you did that to this other girl then you could eventually do that to her too

hi,
give the girl her space allow her to do her thing. maybe she is weighing her pros and cons about weather she wants to date you. maybe she has seconds thoughts about the whole thing. she may be feeling that she made a mistake in telling you. she might even be worried that you broke it off whit your ex- girl friend just to pursue the idea of dating her just to see if it would work a girl has to think things through before she can just okay to something like that. we do not just jump into things like guys do.
that not being complicated. girls don't like to be hurt.

You just got out of a serious relationship, she needs to think about if YOU'RE ready to start something serious with her or not. She'll come around, just show her how much you REALLY care about her.
