God does things righteously. He is a perfect God. Ur question would depend more on what part of the Bible u are speaking of.God killed in Noahs time for the disobedience of the people yet He still gave them a chance to repent and to believe in Noahs message to help him build the arc.Basically God is not the one who kills us,its our own sins that kill us.In the Bible it says For the wages of sin r death. It could b spiritual or physical death thats y its our job to stay faithful to Gods plan and serve Him with all our heart. We're not promised tomorrow.God Bless U!!

The root of that question is why does God even allow death?
We are physical beings; God cares more about your spirit. So he allows death to affect each & everyone of us differently, for His purposes. We may not be able to always see what God has in store, but believers know that what ever happens, happens for a reason.
Did you see the movie The End Of The Spear? That allows you to see the scope of how God looks at death in one circumstance. Also check out this site:

It is about a small baby that died... These are only a few examples of some reasons God allows death.
In the Bible most of the reasons were explained... Like in the story of Noah's Ark, God flooded the world because God saw that pretty much everyone was evil. Same with Sodom & Gomorrah! But you see in both those stories He saved those who loved & followed His ways. In the New Testament God even allows death to come to His one & only Son Jesus...You know the reason for that death don't you?

The living God prefers mercy over judgment. (Old Testament)
He offers mercy before judgment, some just chose to fore go the mercy.
Today He offers everyone mercy and grace. Salvation is a gift that can't be earned. It's just that...a gift. He gave His only Son.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, who so ever believes in Him, shall not parish but have everlasting life. 17 God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him.
Jesus saves, forgives and LIVES!!!

God has promised kill all of us due to sin. This is why us Christians hope in a resurrection (a new creation) without sin and death. God has also promised this to us although we do not deserve any of His grace. But as a Joe U wrote, read your Bible, there is a reason given for each account.

We should make a list of how many times this question has been asked.
When someone is not walking in the truth of God's word, they will not understand God's justice and how it is right- and How God is Holy and Righteous. So therefore what God does, is right.
Even though it seems "unfair" to human minds-- remember God is far above us and His ways are not our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts as Isaiah says- AND sin always is punished. Do you know the seriousness of sin? How it is detestable in God's eyes? And we all sin- we all fall short, (Romans 3:23) and we all need Christ's forgiveness!

Two answers:
He never simply came right out and massacred.
He always gave a warning so people could either change, or move, or do something.
It was the people's stubborness that got them in trouble.

Life is a gift from God.
If he decides to reclaim it, that's His business.

To preserve life; judge wickedness. A God who doesn't punish sin or take a stand against evil isn't holy and is a SCARY God!!
