I've read a lot of questions on here where atheists comment on how close minded, prejudice and judgmental Christians are. Don't they see they are guilty of the same offense in a lot of their answers?
I'm a new Christian, so I can understand each person's point of view. I just don't understand why anyone has to judge one another. The church I go teaches us not to judge or condemn non-believers but to love them and set a good example.

This is a really good question. And in fact on some of the religion sites I like to visit atheists like to "challenge" people of any faith, Jews, Christians and Pagans alike.

I've never understood this. If you have no religious belief why would it concern you that someone else does? Non-religious "evangelism" makes no sense. If people choose to believe that the Easter bunny grants wishes everyday why should you care as long as they aren't hurting anyone? And the argument about wars and violence in the name of religion doesn't wash. That would be valid only if EVERYONE who practices a religion was violent and that is far from the truth.

It seems to me that atheists that desperately try to get people to drop their beliefs have basically just created another religion. Atheists now have "churches" to promote and practice a non religious sort of "humanist" philosophy. They have radio shows and tracts, and now even have their own sort of "un-born-agains" going into message boards arguing with people about their beliefs. I don't know. It seems pretty silly to me.

I agree with your point.A large part of it is to do with our human condition.
We find it very hard to understand, that anyone can believe something different or alien to our way of belief.
Unfortunately we are not as evolved or civilized as we profess to be.
An anonymous situation such as Q&A gives the bravado to express their opinions in very outright and at time over the top ways.
I have noticed that the most outspoken, are usually those with no contact links,IM or Email!
So I am sure that many do it just to get a reaction, although that is not what this is meant to be about.
Reality is, we can state our beliefs but not try and enforce them on others by belittling or discrediting theirs.
This is not confined to Religion and Spirituality alone.
You have found the path that suits you. For others it may not be the answer. They may not be able to understand or find credibility in your belief.
We can only try and remain non-judgemental of others,no matter what their religion, belief, race, lifestyle and opinion is.

I dont know, I'm a hard core christian myself and my best friend is for satan (ironically). My friend doesnt try to convert me cause he know it wont work and I've already tried and he wont convert. I mean if they want to believe there is a void and nothingness, you know what, more power to them. But there are some Christian Crusaders, and some Atheist Warriors that just like to clash. I dont see the point there both firm and strong in belief, they and we can try and try but unless it gets to the point of killing then there is no point. Sorry if i didnt help.

Here the difference:

Atheists assert there position because their is no evidence to support a deity. Almost all atheists are openminded that if evidence would be produced, we would change our minds. By analogy, I fervently don't believe in unicorns. I can firmly state that until there is evidence, I don't believe in unicorns.

Christians, on the other hand, make absolute statements (including judging other persons moral behaviors) on the basis of faith alone, with no supporting evidence.

What is more arrogant? To assert nonbelief because there is no evidence, or to claim absolute superiority on basis of no evidence whatsoever? I say the latter.

Compare it again to the unicorn. Don't you think that it is more arrogant to firmly assert that unicorns exist, then to take the position that one shouldn't believe in unicorns unless there was proof?

First I'm going to retype your question using the English language.

Why is it so important to atheists to prove to others their theory of the non-existence of God.

That is how this sentence looks in English.

See the difference?

I have a lot more interest in teaching people proper use of English then I do in the non-existence of God. I don't really care what you believe as long as you keep those beliefs out of schools, court houses, etc.

As far as judging, I don't see groups of atheists trying to force their agenda down the throats of others. I do see groups of Christians trying to force theirs. Proselytizing, and forced worship, involve judgment.

I would say that by the deifnition of atheism, they aren't trying to convert anyone, because unlike most organized religions which have some rule about converting people atheist don't belive in a god and rules and such. I don't want to judge anyone either, but you never see any atheist suicide bombers.

"If i examine the enormous bang theory, it supplies me finished information how the earth, moon, stars got here into existence No it does not have something to do with the formation of stars, planets and so on. and scientist say we got here by evolution and that's from the collision of stars and stars organic and organic evolution has not something to do with stars, colliding or otherwise. you're incorrect lower back. yet i discover a significant flaw in this concept, how did the explosion definitely got here approximately, It grew to become into not an explosion. incorrect lower back, for the 0.33 time scientists are clueless, simply by fact as consistent with technological know-how regulations something can’t come out of not something. And if somewhat something can’t come out of not something then that's impossible for this universe to exist. " And it did not come from not something. incorrect yet yet lower back, for the fourth time. Your "theory" is in keeping with fake ideas related to the formation of the Universe and fake ideas approximately evolution.

It is because the heart, at length, refuses to be subjected to darkness, and so starts to overturn the decision, and the inner war continues.

No atheist will EVER try to prove that god doesn't exist. That burden of proof lies upon the christians. Can't prove a negative.
