is it illegal for me to talk to a guy that is 21 if im 13, as long as its not sexual i mean i like him but we dont talk sexual or plan to meet

also wanted to add, he hasent tried to talk sex with me, i did somewhat but he said im to young to talk like that, and told me if i try he will not talk to me

A normal 21 yr old shouldn't want anything to do with a 13 year old. Think about it, would you be interested in a 5 year old? I know you don't think so, but it IS the same thing. All of these ages are In VERY different maturity levels.(well, they'r supposed to be). Do your parents know you have this friend? You should tell them. And PLEASE, don't go and meet him no matter what he says. How do you even know this is a 21 yr old guy? All you know is what he tells you. He could be a child kidnapper, rapist, murderer sicko freak. This is a crazy world we live in now, you can't be to careful. Talk to your mom.
I just read what everyone else wrote, and we all sound the same. It's not a coincident, and we're not copying each other. Your situation is just not right at all! Your parents would be horrified.
Oh and 1 more thing. Don't EVER EVER EVER tell him your last name, where you live, where you go to school or any other personal info!!!!
Sweety, you are still so young. You don't know how these mind games are played. That type of response could really be manipulation. This is exactly how trust is formed between a bad intentioned person and an innocent inexperienced young girl. This is bad news. No good can come of this. Please, if you don't listen to anything listen to this. Don't give him any info that he can use to find you, and don't ever meet him. If there is any possibility you might have told him anything, you really shouldn't go anywhere alone, always have a cell phone, and always know where an adult is at all times.

And why does he want to chat with you...I would end communication with this guy NOW since the talk will eventually go down that dark road...

It isn't illegal to TALK to anyone. But what in the world could a 13 year old have in common with a 21 year old?? NOTHING. and nothing good can come out of you TALKING to him. There is obviously sex on his mind. Stop NOW before you get hurt!!!!

I don't think that talking is elegal but what does a 21 year old want with a 13 rear old. SEX!!!!!!!! Im telling you becasue I ran away from home at 14 with a 24 year old and my life was a night mare for 10 entire years

I have to say no but its morally wrong for him to talk to you. he needs to find friends his own age and you need to talk to you family. you know this is wrong all around. there is nothing you can say that makes this right in any form. He is a pedophile to me. I say tell your family. they will help you and if you like him like you say you do then it has already turned into a type of sexual relationship if you and him start having feelings and soon it will turn into something you are not ready for if you cant tell people about him...

Its not illegal, but what the hell do you talk about? When I was your age I loved flirting and talking to older guys but now that Im 22 I cant possibly understand why older guys talked to me? Its super creepy.....

Can't see why a 21 year old "adult" would want to speak with a 13 year old kid; sounds a bit freaky to me.
