I have a quote that I made up from a movie I saw. I want to promote it or get it out there. The movie was "Clash". Here it is:

"It is the stronger mind that can change hate and fear into love and hope. It is the stronger body that can restrain it's own fist from striking back."

The movie was actually "Clash". I did see "Crash" as well, but they are different movies. "Clash" was much more of a small time movie with even less of a budget than "Crash". When I came up with this, I was thinking about what the main character learned from being in prison. These two sentences popped into my head. Using the word "quote" wasn't the correct description. So, maybe a better word for it is motto or words to live by. Here it is corrected:
It is the stronger mind that can change hate and fear into love and hope. It is the stronger body that can stop its own hand from striking back.
I've enjoyed getting so many responses. Thanks!

First of all I am dismayed at the apparent attitude you are getting for a response, the first three answers are not helping you get your quote up in a timely manner but you can still examine them for what they are worth. True, quotes are not like inventions and one generally has to be a credited writer to be able to get his quotes published. But you don't need the attitude of having to meet the standards suggested by one commentator, of having to be someone whose quotes would be found in any 'official' book on quotations.
I would suggest that you approach the Think Exist website with your quote or any quote for that matter. There is a wide variety that is on-line and the company has a good attitude towards posting quotes and getting back to writers. If they refuse than it may be because you have not had your work previously published. If that is so, your best bet is to submit some of your writings on-line and then using that as a reference. You should note that your work has to be original in order to get it posted.

i am confused. how can you make up a quote from a movie you saw? are you re-writing the screenplay?

quotations are not like inventions. you can't take your new adage or witticism down to the patent office, like a relay runner breaking the tape at the finish line, holding high your baton of bon mot in victory.

generally, one needs to be published to get credit for original wordcraft. if you peruse some reference books, like Bartlett's Familiar Quotations or The Columbia World of Quotations, you will see that most quotations are credited to writers. so write your essay about "Clash" (did you mean "Crash?"), get it published in the school paper, and hope that your pithy line is profound enough to circulate more widely and ingrain itself with society at large.

p.s. lose the apostrophe in "it's" - "its" is possessive, "it's" is a contraction of "it is."

good luck!

Your quote is flawed in that you presume too much. Your attitude blinds you to reality. These 2 mistakes should serve to make realize that this is no easy task. Genuine invention starts with the fact that nothing is new "under the sun". This challenge when carefully reviewed may illicit an original thought that may have merit.1 new bonefied addition to "original thought" can either destruct or construct . Careful maneuvering, through this maze,is paramount to your health'cause if not followed correctly,it will destroy you.

Sorry....it's one of those quotes that get lost in the woodwork. We have short attention spans in America. It's gotta be short and funny. Like: There's MF snakes on the MF plane. Or: She is no 1 prostitute in all of Khasikstan......stuff like that.....
