I assume you mean a blank canvas on which to paint. May I suggest you check out the WORKS Discount Bookstore. They sell canvases in all sizes - some box canvases, and others regular with non-stapled sides. www.theworks.gb.com

These come at fantastic prices and there's always a bargain to be had. I believe the WORKS has branches throughout the UK. Other than that, most of the decent art stores will stock what you are after. Cowling & Wilcox in London is great. Good Luck!

why buy it why not make it a good haberdashery will have canvas buy more than you need. buy some two x one or 50mmx 25mm approx timber measure the lengths mitre at 45 degree glue all 4 corners and nail them together when dry stretch the canvas over using a staple gun start at the middle of each length then work your way to the corners with hospital corners and staple those, you can then either use an emulsion paint as a base or rabbit glue that is what the professionals use, paint either the emulsion or rabbit let them dry and they should be as tight as a drum paint to your hearts content.
