Dogs and cats like to move their young to where they think is safe. Don't move your dog, instead, give her more bedding and try to keep the area quiet and clean.

I would keep an eye on your mom she still may deliver more pups, most moms have their babies in anywhere from 15-30 minutes apart and as far as 30-45 minutes apart. If your mom beagle is panting,, and trying to push,, and nothing is happening I would take her to be checked by your vet. There may be a complication that your vet can resolve to make things go ok. I would make a big soft bed where she is at with her puppy and don't move her,, it will only upset her. If you do have to take her to the vet be sure you take her baby with you. If you don't it will really upset her and if she is still in labor,,,,,,it will stop the progressing,,,,,,,,,because she would be flusterated in not knowing where her NEW baby is at. Best of luck!!

Your dog may have several more puppies today, or she might have only this one. Be sure that when she's 'through' with her labor that she's not 'still pregnat' ... I've had a cat who had one kitten over a week earlier than all the others, so she had 'room' for the other babies to grow. Also, you should put your dog and her puppy in a nice 'closed area' that has 'papers' so she can go to the bathroom, and a nice 'soft' pad for her to have the pups on and nurse them. Also make sure that she gets plenty of GOOD food and water, because for the next several days she's not going to want to 'go out' to go to the bathroom or to eat and drink.

Yes....more puppies will squeeze out in the coming hours...but there's nothing u can do!! as for the dog house the scent is not safe....she'll go to the house when the puppies are out!! dogs don't like to shoot their puppies out in public..so just chill and the dog will do the rest!

Didn't you have her into the vet so you could find out how many puppies she may be carrying? Why did you not prepare for this with a proper whelping box inside your home?

all i can say is that she should have more puppies than one but it is possible to just have one. if she behaves partially normal than maybe she isnt expecting anymore. i would greatly, greatly recommend calling the vet since it is her first time. Sorry but i dont have enough expirience to answer the second question.

If you cannot even let the mom and new pup INSIDE then DO NOT let her have more puppies. You are horrid owners. Puppies are NOT supposed to be born and raised OUTSIDE.
Clearly, the mom does not trust you. Who can blame her, it does not sound as though she is a "family member", just an outside dog that was not spayed.
Sad.
